About
I consider myself to be a conceptual sculptural artist. Using ceramics and mixed media to reflect my work. My primary focus is historical and political themes and my ultimate desire is to bring about consciousness in the viewer. I have a particular passion for multi-sensorial installations that reflect the viewer’s memories and evoke familiarity. I want the viewer to see and experience the troubles that humans have endured in the world, but also the problems that have been created by humans. I like to reflect the dichotomy that humans can be the victim or the oppressor in any given situation and the importance that exists in taking responsibility for our actions. Ultimately I want to address global issues specific to the human condition through abstraction and create a visceral understanding of this in the viewer.
